Simple Plan is a kickass pop/punk band!

They are mostly made up of some well written lyrics, of course some smart-ass humor and a bunch of catchy tunes. It's that all put together that has sent them and their catchy tunes out of my ass, to doing concerts almost anyplace you can name. Now they are touching the hearts, and ears, of thousands of fans all over the world.

Created in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Simple Plan has come a long way. The band consists of Pierre Bouvier (singer), Chuck Comeau (drummer), Jeff Stinco (guitarist),  Sebastien Lefebvre (guitarist) and David Desrosiers (bassist). These five stars have been playing wherever they could for the past two years, playing with some well known bands such as Blink-182, Sum41, Jimmy Eat World, and Millencolin just to name a few and they have just released there very own record, on Lava/Atlantic records, called "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls."

The Simple Plan Story began in the mid 90's when Chuck and Pierre, who were only 13 years of age at the time, were in the same band called Reset. (Another Montreal based band) Later in 1998, Chuck decided to leave the band, and to work harder at his school work, right after the debut of the Reset Album, "No Worries". But Chuck leaving the music scene didn't last for long, for in 1999 he began to play again with his good friend Jeff and another school friend Seb. But they realized that they needed a singer and bassist to make it a complete band. So they searched for people, but they really only had one person who was perfect enough for that position, Pierre. So Pierre ended up leaving Reset and joining this other band. The four of them started to produce some pop/punk music but once again realized that they needed something else. They ended up taking in another bassist, David, who had been Pierre's replacement in the band Reset. The band thought it was best this way. For now Pierre could run around on stage and not worry about a bass guitar to play.

And that's how they all came together to become the band we know today as Simple Plan. Hopefully they will stay for a long time and make us lots of music to listen to.
